FC Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen is considering a move away from the club due to a lack of playing time.

“Christensen will seriously consider leaving Barcelona next summer,” Spanish outlet Pichajes reported on Thursday (Aug. 24).

The Danish defender joined Chelsea in July 2015, making his debut in Europe’s top five leagues. He began to get his chance at Chelsea in the 2017/18 season. Christensen made 27 league appearances that season. In 2018/19, he started only eight games, but in 2019/20, he made 21 appearances.

While Christensen gained some experience at Chelsea, he was never a regular starter, so he left the Blues on a free transfer last July to join Barcelona. Last season, Christensen made 23 appearances and helped Barcelona win La Liga.

Unlike last season, Christensen has struggled to compete for a starting spot this season. Christensen has made 10 official appearances this season, but has only played full-time on three occasions. According to soccer statistics outlet Sofascore, Christensen has played just 70 minutes per game. 온라인카지노

According to Pichajes, Christensen is open to the possibility of returning to the EPL. Christensen is no stranger to the EPL having spent time at Chelsea. It will be interesting to see what Christensen decides to do next summer.
